Rain Stories

Rain Stories

“I always like walking in the rain, so no one can see me crying.”
 - Charles Chaplin

It is not only a matter of prestige, but also history

The raincoat is the key item of the spring collection. The raincoat has become a global symbol of the style. Sometimes it is made of predefined materials, but sometimes it is made from PVC. There are no rules at all. The only important thing about raincoat is that it is wearable.

The raincoat rocked the catwalk at London fashion week

Originally raincoats were designed for British army by Aquascutum and Burberry. Actually Thomas Burberry modernized raincoats. Burberry trench coat is now the pride of the fashion classics.

Marlene Dietrich, old Hollywood starlet, gave a bit of femininity to the raincoat. Nowadays it is a women's weapon. During 1940′s trench coat was an item of glamour. It was worn by Audrey Hepburn, Sofia Loren, Brigitte Bardot. Great Britain and France are countries where raincoat is the most popular.

1963 - Brigitte Bardot was famous for the raincoat she wore;

1964 - Catherine Deneuve, French actress wore the raincoat on the set for the film “Les Parapluies de Cherbourg” ; 1970 - Jackie Kennedy Onassi;

1980-s - With the intention to achieve an elegant style Audrey Hepburn wore this clothing item;

1999 - Kate Moss promoted many Burberry fashion campaigns;

2000 - Emma Watson also decided for Burberry trench coats;

If you want to look stylish during rainy days but a raincoat. You can't make mistake with that. A great raincoat doesen't just keep you dry, you will aslo have a perfect styling for rainy days.
