Hat history 

The origins of hat come from the Ancient Greece. Women from Crete Island invented unusual types of hats to achieve a difference in the sense of individuality. Hats present some kind of status symbol:

1. in military it refers to rank; 
2. in history it refered to social status; 
3. in fashion world to style. 

In Ancient Rome hats have been worn as a symbol of freedom - every libertine except of the confirmation that he/she is free, would be given also a hat as a gift. Nowadays the best quality models come from Italy. Today a choice is really big. Women can choose cylinders, knitted hats, hats with brims and many others.

Hats have evolved during time from straw hats to modern. Nowadays we can find hats decorated with flowers, tapes, brooches.

The most famous hat models:

1. “Bowler” hats - come from America. In America it is also called “Derby hat”. Charlie Chaplin wore this hat. Nowadays people wear it when they are riding a horse. 
2. “Cowboy” hats - it were worn by cowboys like a protection from natural disasters. Ralph Lauren and Saint Lauren are famous fashion brands of cowboy hats. 
3. “Gangster” hats are required accessories for rich world. In world it was promoted by Indiana Jones. These hats became popular 30 years ago. Nowadays mostly rich people wear it. For them it is a necessary detail. 
4. “Panama” hats - come from Ecuador. It is mega popular in America, you can wear it in combination with suits. “Panama” hats were promoted by Teddy Roosevelt. Also Fedora hats are very popular. They appeared in 1800., and its name isn't occurrence. It is called like a performance from 19th century. 

In Great Britain, there is a little town named Ascot. Every year there are maintaining horse racings. For that occasion nobles wear special clothes - and very interesting is that everybody make effort to choose a special hat. Queen also attend it every and she wears a special hat.

Rules for wearing a hat 

When you go to beach you should wear a wide brim hat, but you shouldn't wear it when you will communicate with others. When it's a time for sports activities and relax, sports hats are preferable. If you like to wear leather jackets and topcoats than think about winter hat. If you usually wear elegant hats, than your hair must also be elegant. Hat must be choosen according to face shape.

1. Heart face shape - people with this face shape should choose asymmetric hat; 
2. Oval face shape - people with this face shape have very big choice, they can buy what they like; 
3. Oblong face shape - women that have this face shape should avoid to wear a small brim hats. If you want to look glamorous, wear a hat - and look like a real Lady.
